ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Business Development Officer, Halal, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the Halal Division by identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities that comply with Islamic finance principles. The role involves market research, client acquisition, relationship management, and promoting Shari’ah-compliant investment and financial products.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Halal-compliant products and services.

* Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets for the Halal Division.

* Prepare and deliver pitches/presentations to prospective clients, institutions, and partners.

* Maintain and expand a portfolio of high-value clients in the Halal market segment.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

* Provide clients with advisory support on Shari’ah-compliant investment opportunities.

* Ensure exceptional client service delivery and timely resolution of client issues.

* Conduct research on trends in Islamic finance and Halal investments.

* Analyze competitor offerings to ensure the Company remains competitive.

* Recommend innovative business strategies and product enhancements in line with Shari’ah principles.

* Work with the Compliance and Shari’ah Advisory Team to ensure all offerings meet regulatory and Islamic finance requirements.

* Prepare and review business proposals, contracts, and agreements.

* Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all business development activities.

* Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and expand the professional network, stay active in relevant industry associations and forums.

* Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline transactions, and revenue generation.

* Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and implement the overall business growth strategy.

QUALIFICATION
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in business development, Shari’ah-compliant investments, preferably in asset management, banking, or financial services.
* Experience in Islamic finance/knowledge of Shari’ah-compliant investments is an added advantage.
* Proven track record in meeting sales/revenue targets.   * This role attracts competitive remuneration.
