| As a Research Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights and analysis to support decision-making processes within the financial markets. Your responsibilities will involve conducting market research, analyzing data, and delivering strategic recommendations to enhance the organizations and Clients understanding of market trends and opportunities. | |
| JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES | |
| • Conduct comprehensive research on financial markets, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. Analyze macroeconomic factors and market trends to forecast potential opportunities and risks. Evaluate the fiscal health and performance of Companies by analyzing their financial statements, earnings reports, and other relevant data to provide insights to users of the information. • Stay abreast of developments and trends within specific industries or sectors and assess how industry dynamics may impact the financial performance of companies within those sectors. • Generate investment recommendations based on thorough analyses to guide Investors on buy, sell, or hold recommendations on Securities. • Evaluate the risk associated with investment opportunities, conduct scenario analyses and stress tests to assess potential downside risks. • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze company performance and value businesses to aid recommendations. • Communicate research findings and investment recommendations to clients, fund managers, or internal stakeholders. Participate in client meetings, industry road shows, media engagements and other technical forums to project self and brand. • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements while staying informed about changes in regulatory frameworks that may impact financial markets. • Monitor and analyze economic indicators and policy developments and assess the potential impact of economic factors on investment strategies and Client portfolios. • Track the performance of recommended investments and adjust recommendations as necessary. Provide regular updates on the performance of portfolios or investment strategies. • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and other financial Professionals to align research with investment strategies. • Work closely with other departments to integrate research insights into broader financial decision-making processes. • Prepare outlook reports and engage Clients across demography on the report through webinars, media round table, presentations amongst others. • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned to ensure business growth and development. | |

| • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory frameworks. • Ability to use statistical tools and financial models for quantitative analysis., • Integrity in handling sensitive financial information. • Familiarity with financial analysis tools, databases, and software. • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving. • Behavioral capabilities in line with the company’s values. Qualification • B. Sc in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or other related courses. • FMVA certification will be an added advantage. • MBA or MSc will be an added advantage. • At least 1 professional qualification. • Minimum 3 years industry experience. | |
