Osita is a results-driven Executive with vast years of experience and exposure spanning business consulting, commercial banking, oil & gas and central banking. With a knack for development finance, he led Teams that developed the frameworks for expanding finance to priority economic sectors and drove inclusivity across verticals of the society. He has demonstrable expertise with unique competencies in aspects of financial inclusion, particularly relative to entrepreneurial development.

He served as Director, Corporate Communications Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). He has served in various capacities within the Bank. Osita, while serving at the Apex Bank successfully managed the implementation of several schemes with visible impact in their respective sectors and the economy. He has also served in several committees such as the Monetary Policy Technical Committee (MPTC); Financial Stability Reporting Committee; Vision 2020 Micro Small & Medium Enterprise Committee; Interdepartmental Committee on the Revitalization of the Nigerian Commodity Exchange (NCX) amongst others. Prior to joining the CBN, he was General Manager, Finance & Administration at Underwater Engineering Limited, Lagos; Special Assistant to the MD/CEO at New Nigeria Bank PLC, Lagos; and as Associate Consultant at Ighodalo & Associates, Lagos (now SIO Consultants).

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from National Open University of Nigeria; Masters of Business Administration in Finance & Marketing from University of Benin; Masters of Science in Industrial Sociology from University of Lagos. He also holds Executive Certificates from Harvard Kennedy School – Boston, USA; Said Business School – University of Oxford, London. and Coady International Institute – St. Xavier Universixty, Canada. He is currently a PhD student in Leadership & Strategy at the Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna.

Osita is Honorary Senior Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers (HCIB); Fellow, National Institute of Credit Administration (FICA); Fellow, Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (FCIP) and Associate, Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ACMR), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM), Chartered Institute of Mediators & Conciliators (ACIMC); Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb), London and Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR). He was also on the panel of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
