Sunday Ojo
Sunday Ojo is an astute financial service professional with over two decades of cognate track record and experience in various sectors of the Nigerian economy such as Financial Services, Media, Education, and Hospitality, he has also carved a niche for himself in the Nigerian Capital Market ecosystem in areas such as Securities Trading, Equity Research, Portfolio Management, Operations, Sales and Marketing.
Prior to joining Supra Commercial Trust Limited as Managing Director, Sunday served as the Managing Director of Edgefield Capital Management Limited and First & Foremost Investment Limited and was instrumental to the operationalization of the later, in this capacity, he managed a wide range of Corporate, High Net-Worth Individual and Retail accounts. He also worked at Dependable Securities and eventually rose to become Head of Securities Trading, managing the portfolios of a wide range of clients with impressive performance. He moved to Independent Securities (a subsidiary of Wema Bank) in August 2007 as a Senior Investment Officer, where he championed various issues and initiatives for the entities under the group, handling several landmark primary and secondary market transactions. Sunday’s career in the capital market commenced when he joined Alliance Capital Management as a Financial Analyst before moving to Lion Stockbrokers in the same capacity. He was a Director at AMPM College were he made a stint before his switch to Financial Services.
Sunday is an alumnus of Yaba College of Technology and is pursuing an MBA in Financial Management. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), and a Member of the Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria (ELAN). He has attended various training programs such as Corporate Governance for Directors, Equity Research and Portfolio Management, and Leadership Education. He is also a member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and an Authorised Dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
